At the core of AD4L is Jacqui’s passion for dance and the teaching of dance, an offshoot of this passion is her strong interest in the field of health and wellness and the science behind the dance. Meshing her teaching career with academic pursuits, she developed AD4L as a collaborative blog and newsletter, which endeavored to bring dance science, health and wellness subjects to the attention of dance community (students, parents, & teachers). AD4L is currently focused on providing accessible dance programming, Dance-Ability, to the Winnipeg community via local community centres, camps, and workshops to dancers of all ages and abilities.
Upon completion of a Master of Science (2016) specializing in motor learning and control at the University of Manitoba, Jacqui is also an instructor in the Faculty of Kinesiology with the University of Winnipeg and longtime faculty member with Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet School.
